At mboximport.com (the “Company”), we take your privacy very seriously. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure and being transparent about how we collect, use, and manage your personal data. This Privacy Policy applies to our service available at mboximport.com (the “Service”), where we assist users in importing .mbox files into their Gmail or Google Workspace accounts.

This Privacy Policy is structured in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Google’s API Platform Privacy Guidelines.

1. Information We Collect and Why

We collect the following information from you:

1.1 Google User ID and Email: We collect your Google User ID and email for login purposes when you use our Service. This data is collected via OAuth when you log in with your Google account.

1.2 .mbox Files: You provide us with .mbox files which you want to import into your Gmail or Google Workspace account.

1.3 OAuth Tokens: We request and store OAuth tokens to access specific functions of your Gmail or Google Workspace account, such as read and write email labels, and to insert new emails.

1.4 Payment Information: We collect necessary information to process your payments for our Service. We do not store your payment details; they are directly managed by Stripe.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 To provide and maintain our Service.

2.2 To manage your account and provide you with customer support.

2.3 To process transactions and send notices about your transactions.

2.4 To verify your identity and protect against fraud.

3. Data Retention

After completing the migration process, we delete your .mbox files and OAuth tokens from our servers. If no migration is performed after 24 hours of uploading the .mbox file, the file will be deleted from our systems. We only store your Google User ID and email for the purpose of your continued use of our Service.

4. Data Sharing

4.1 Third-Party Services: We engage third-party services for hosting (OVH), payments (Stripe), advertising (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads), web analytics (Google Analytics), and customer feedback (Trustpilot). These third parties have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.

4.2 Compliance with Laws: We may disclose your information to law enforcement, governmental agencies, or authorized third-parties, in response to a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged or suspected illegal activity or any other activity that may expose us, you, or any other of our users to legal liability.

5. Security

We use appropriate and reasonable security measures as required by relevant law to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. However, as no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data we have collected. You also have the right to data portability and the right to object to our processing of your personal data. Please contact us at support@mboximport.com to exercise these rights.
